DOCTOR REVEALS WHETHER IT IS BETTER TO SHOWER IN THE MORNING OR AT NIGHT

Although showers are a necessary part of our daily schedules, everyone has different preferences. In particular, there has long been disagreement over when is the best time to take one. However, when is the ideal time to take a shower? While some people prefer to bathe at night, others swear by taking their morning showers. Dr. Jason Singh has intervened to end the argument, stating that one choice is in fact superior to the other.

Singh starts out by outlining the advantages of taking a nighttime shower. Melatonin, which promotes healthy sleep, is released during warm showers at night. Your body temperature returns to normal as soon as you step out of the shower and remove your towel. He says, "These two work together to transition into better sleep."

The doctor also emphasises that taking a nightly shower helps to remove all the debris that builds up during the day, including dirt from the environment and your own body from work. Furthermore, since they better hydrate the skin just before bed, night showers are preferable for people with dry or sensitive skin. Singh also noted that taking a morning shower returns the skin to a “more hygienic baseline” by eliminating bacteria and secretions that have accumulated. The doctor concludes as follows: "In general, taking a shower at night offers numerous advantages, whereas taking a shower in the morning essentially offers just one.”

In the end, Singh's perspective is more about maximising the extra advantages of a night shower than it is about how well it keeps you clean. Better sleep and healthier skin are, after all, components of good hygiene, and it's incomparable to receive a little assistance by simply taking a shower.
