LEWIS CAPALDI AND BETTERHELP COLLABORATE TO DONATE 734,000 FREE THERAPY HOURS

During Glastonbury 2023, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi was forced to cut his set short due to difficulties managing symptoms of Tourette syndrome and anxiety on stage. After taking some years off to concentrate on his mental health, Capaldi made a strong comeback at Glastonbury 2025, even though he had previously believed he would never perform again. He is now collaborating with BetterHelp to provide 734,000 hours of free virtual therapy to anyone in need as a token of appreciation and support.

The 734 days Lewis Capaldi took off from the spotlight to concentrate on his mental health are represented by the 734,000 hours. He is giving out 1,000 hours of therapy for every day that has passed since his previous performance. The singer states in a video announcing his endeavour that "therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again." "We're giving away 734,000 free hours of treatment in collaboration with BetterHelp, reflecting my own experience with therapy and the significance I believe it has in both my life and the lives of others."

Lewis Capaldi talks candidly about his treatment experience and acknowledges that he had previously neglected his own needs in the BetterHelp video interview. He has attempted therapy in the past, but he didn't see a significant difference in his mental health until he discovered the correct one. As a testament to his progress, Capaldi revealed that he had "no worry or fear or impending doom" in the run-up to this year's Glastonbury. He even performed several "secret gigs" in Scotland to regain his stage presence.

Thousands of admirers chanted along to Capaldi's famous song, "Someone You Loved," as he made an emotional comeback to the Glastonbury stage.

“Therapy has been such a massive part of my last two years, and is a reason why I am able to be a musician again,” the artist admits. “I don’t think I’ll ever stop going to therapy… and giving access to online therapy to my fans who have supported me throughout my journey is so important to me. This is my way of giving back.”
