CRISTIANO RONALDO, NOW 40 YEARS OLD, STUNNED TO DISCOVER NEW BIOLOGICAL AGE AFTER REVERSING PROCESS

When Cristiano Ronaldo learned that he could turn back time by more than ten years, he was stunned. With 33 goals for Al-Nassr this season, the 40-year-old football icon is presently dominating the Saudi Arabian division. After successful stints at Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus, where he has won almost every major trophy imaginable, he is now playing in the Saudi Pro League. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner also doesn't have to worry about slowing down anytime soon, if his biological age is any indication.

Ronaldo recently opened up about how his extremely strict diet and sports regimen have been able to turn back the clock in a recent interview with fitness brand Whoop – and his results are pretty impressive.

The striker was told after a battery of medical examinations by Whoop that his biological age was 28.9, meaning that he is biologically 11 years younger than his true age.

Quite remarkable.

Even though he had previously been informed that his body was ten years younger than his true age, Ronaldo expressed his happy surprise at the news to Will Ahmed, host of the Whoop podcast: "I can’t believe my age is 28.9 years."

"That means I’m going to be playing football for another 10 years!" Ronaldo continued, hinting at the possibility of prolonging his career by an additional ten years. Regardless of whether Ronaldo is able to expand his career by another decade or not, the Portuguese star has already managed to outlast the majority of his contemporaries, considering that most footballers tend to retire between the ages of 34 and 36.

So, how does he do it?

Cristiano Ronaldo's diet and lifestyle, explained

Ronaldo has maintained his remarkable figure by adhering to an extremely rigorous diet and lifestyle, which is probably not surprising to anyone. According to numerous reports, the football player maintains a very rigorous training schedule that involves working out for up to four hours every day and frequenting the gym to maintain his strength and cardio.

"Whether at home or with the squad, he is constantly training. He has a compulsive need to look after his body. In 2018, Spanish journalist Santiago Segurola remarked of Ronaldo, "He treats his physique like a Ferrari." Although, working out on its own isn't going to give you the Ronaldo body, as CR7 also has access to top nutritionists to make sure he's following an optimum diet.

"A good workout must be combined with a good diet," he previously stated (via GOAL). "I eat a high protein diet, with lots of whole grain carbs, fruit and vegetables, and avoid sugary foods."

Add this to the fact that the striker likely has a team of people ensuring his body can get optimum amounts of recovery in between games - he is said to be fond of an early morning ice bath - and you can understand why Ronaldo seems to be more machine than man.
