WATCH A BOY PERFORM EFFORTLESSLY COOL “AURA FARMING” MOVES ON A SPEEDING BOAT
Rayyan Arkan Dikha, often known as the "Aura Farming Boy" or the "Indonesian Boat Racing Kid," is one of those people who are effortlessly cool. Dikha's confidence, poise, and style demonstrated that he is on another level. Wearing sunglasses and traditional black clothing, the 11-year-old Indonesian performs a serene, fluid dance of fist rolls and arm sweeps while standing at the front of a speeding boat in videos that have gone viral on TikTok and Instagram. He appears so unconcerned that it has been dubbed "aura farming."
The now-viral trend can be broken down into a few components. Aura farming is the first. If you're not familiar with the term, it describes actions taken by someone merely to appear cool or to project a certain presence or vibe. (It frequently alludes to anime characters.) The allusion to aura farming is appropriate because Dikha performs with a vibe.
Why was the boy on the boat's bow now? Dikha was participating in the Pacu Jalur boat race, a centuries-old celebration held in Riau every August, as the Togak Luan, the dancer at the bow. Using dance, the Togak Luan tells the rowers where to go. Dikha's spontaneous choreography showcases his ability to perform under pressure, conveying composure, assurance, and beauty. Because he is performing in front of rowers who are working hard with each stroke, the effect is enhanced.
Although Dikha's performance was initially uploaded to TikTok in January 2025, it wasn't until June 2025 that it became widely popular after social media users remixed a video to Melly Mike's "Young Black & Rich." Since then, it has influenced dance tribute videos made by people all around the world, including famous people like Steve Aoki and Travis Kelce. Locally, Dikha is also becoming well-known. He has been named Riau Province's Tourism Ambassador and has made appearances on national television and at events in Jakarta.
