A video of an LED banner at a friend's flat that shows real-time train arrival updates at a nearby station was uploaded by X user whizwang. The screen, which is positioned directly over the entrance, enables them to choose the optimal moment to leave and board the train of their choice without having to spend more time waiting on the platform. All you need to know is how long it will take you to reach the station.
The New York-based business Nook Woodworking invented the now-viral device. The NYC Realtime Subway Clock is available in two versions: a tabletop version for your desk and a wall-mounted version similar to the one in the movie. In addition to providing real-time information and scrolling like subway screens, the device is synchronised with the NYC MTA system. From an aesthetic perspective, it is housed in a wooden frame that comes in two hues: oak and mahogany. It needs an available outlet and Wi-Fi to function.
According to Nook Woodworking, "the MTA oversees miles of tracks, and our subway clock can be customised for them all." You can choose as many underground lines as you like to show so you can stay updated, regardless of whether you reside in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, the Bronx or anywhere else. Additionally, you may quickly and easily set up your clock thanks to its simple installation. You just need to find your way around the station and the tube map!
