MAN USES AI TO APPLY TO A THOUSAND JOBS WHILE ASLEEP WAKES UP TO SHOCKING RESULTS
A person on Reddit revealed through the use of an artificial intelligence bot they made that ended up making their job search a whole lot easier. The icing on the cake is that the AI bot completed all of the laborious tasks while he slept comfortably in his bed.
After posting on the "get employed" board, the user—who has since removed his name—reported that he was successful in landing over 50 interviews. They disclosed that the AI handled the majority of the laborious tasks, revising his resume and cover letter as he applied for positions for which he was qualified.
"I developed an artificial intelligence (AI) bot that: Evaluates job descriptions, analyses candidate data, creates customised resumes and cover letters for every position, responds to particular queries from recruiters, and automatically applies to jobs, and I was sleeping at the time!" they wrote. This strategy helped me land about 50 interviews in a single month. The customised cover letters and resumes, which were made according to each job description, had a big impact. They clarified his reasoning by pointing out that AI is already transforming the hiring process and that many positions are using AI bots to screen applicants. Additionally, they asserted that their bot assisted in "effectively passing through automated screening systems." Which, of course, can only be advantageous.
The user at least demonstrated his awareness of the moral issues surrounding this method of applying for a job. He wrote: "As I watch this technological revolution, I can't help but think about the profound implications for the world of work." It's unclear if he used artificial intelligence or not. The automation of job applications is effective, but it calls into question the fundamental nature of professional relationships.
