NUN GOES VIRAL FOR IMPROMPTU BEATBOXING PERFORMANCE ON BRAZILIAN TV

A video of nuns with unusual rhythm is going viral on the internet, and no, it's not from a Sister Act film; rather, it's from real life. After displaying her beatboxing abilities on the Brazilian TV program Pai Eterno, Sister Marizele from Brazil has won hearts online. The scene became a memorable piece of internet gold as her amazing beats even inspired a priest and another nun to dance with her.

Sister Marizele started singing a song before launching into an amazing beatbox performance. She was wearing a blue skirt, a white shirt, and a typical white habit. Sister Marisa de Paula, the nun next to her, immediately joined in, dancing joyfully in two steps to the rhythm. The priest and presenter, Deacon Giovani Bastos, then joined in, making some impressive manoeuvres while wearing his long black robe.

A lot of people on the internet immediately compared the viral moment to Whoopi Goldberg's famous comedy series Sister Act from the 1990s. While one user joked, "They're seriously dropping a 'Sister Act' remake in 2025, huh?" another added, "I know 'Sister Act' when I see it." Some commended the nuns for their innovative approach of reaching out to youth through hip-hop. "They deal with vulnerable young males, and they use hip-hop to get a relationship with them," one Instagram user commented. It's simply a fantastic work. “Pope Francis would be proud of them!” said another.
