REALITY STAR FROM AUSTRALIA ARRESTED AFTER DECAPITATED HEAD OF BOYFRIEND FOUND IN HER HOME
Emergency personnel were called to a small fire at an apartment in Port Lincoln, a seaside community in southern Australia, on June 17.
They discovered the charred and mutilated remains of 39-year-old Julian Story when they got to the scene. Tamika Sueann-Rose Chesser was taken into custody and charged with Story's murder 48 hours later. Chesser is an actor and model who has competed on Beauty and the Geek Australia. In the 2010 season of the reality TV program, she finished as the runner-up.
According to The Telegraph, when police got on the scene, they found Chesser "in a catatonic and unresponsive state" in the rear of the house. Police said that Story was decapitated and that they do not yet know where his head is.
"The dismemberment of Julian's body was a confronting scene for police and emergency services personnel," South Australia Police said in a statement on Friday, as reported by NDTV. Despite numerous searches, Julian's head, which was taken during the dismemberment, has not yet been found.
The murder is believed to have occurred on June 17 at midnight. The public is being urged by police to provide any more information or video they may have from their home security systems or dash cams that could aid in their investigation. Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said, "I want you to imagine the agony this news is inflicting on Julian's family. I can only fathom it."
"It's an extremely essential component for us to recover Julian's head and deliver it to his family so they can have a calm outcome, have a burial, and lay him to rest," he continued.
"At this time, there is no clear motivation for Story's murder," Fielke continued. Chesser was denied bail when she appeared in court via video connection on Friday. According to The Telegraph, she made her initial appearance last week and is being detained on a mental health detention order.
In December, she will have a committal hearing, where a judge will determine whether there is sufficient evidence to put Chesser on trial. Kiya-May Chesser, Chesser's sister, claims that the former reality TV star is experiencing mental illness. She told Daily Mail Australia, "Please report how my sister is in a mental psychosis." "This isn't her... She would never act in such a manner.
