SIXTY ART MASTERPIECES SHOWCASED IN DUBLIN MONUMENTAL PICASSO EXHIBITION
Pablo Picasso has had a more significant influence on modern art than most artists. Generations of artists and art enthusiasts have been inspired by his remarkable life and innovative work. Picasso: From the Studio, a major exhibition featuring 60 Picasso pieces, is being presented by the National Gallery of Ireland in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris in honour of his lasting legacy.
Visitors are invited to enter Picasso's creative universe and see the locations and areas where his famous artwork was created during the exhibition in Dublin. It shows how the artist's work changed over the span of fifty years by following his many stages, styles, and interests. Picasso's famous works are on display alongside lesser-known pieces, including Cubist portraits and eye-catching sculptures.
Picasso's personal side is revealed to visitors through portraits of his loved ones and still life paintings influenced by his environment in Avignon and the Côte d'Azur. Among these is Marie-Thérèse, his child's mother, who is depicted in a more delicate manner than in his other sculptures from the same era.
According to the National Gallery of Ireland, "photographic and audio-visual art will immerse visitors in his unique places, from enormous seaside palaces to rural French farmhouses." "Picasso's personal life and work were closely entwined, and he lived surrounded by his art."
