THE IDEAL ANSWER FOR BILL GATES TO THE INTERVIEW QUESTION REGARDING YOUR WEAKNESS
Interviews for jobs are inevitable, and they can be quite nerve-racking. There is a lot of pressure on you to make what could be your greatest first impression ever. After that, some bosses will use covert tactics to expose you, so moving forward, be on the lookout for coffee cups and "salt and pepper."
Not to mention that, in certain cases, if you are being interviewed by this CEO, even one incorrect response could result in your immediate rejection.
But don't worry, billionaire Bill Gates has some excellent advice on how to handle some of the most uncomfortable, yet frequently asked, interview questions. Given that the tech tycoon founded Microsoft nearly 50 years ago, it's safe to assume that he knows a thing or two about managing a profitable company. Additionally, he met with NBA player Stephen Curry in 2020 to discuss his ideal responses for a simulated job interview.
Curry had Gates feign an interview for a Microsoft software engineer position, but his advice applies to any sector. He had already talked about answering the dreaded "salary expectations" and the traditional "why should we hire you" questions.
"How do you define your strengths and weaknesses, and how would you incorporate them into a team?" was the question he answered flawlessly this time.
This question's first part is a little redundant because your resume already lists your strengths, and you wouldn't have been invited for an interview if the employer didn't believe you had any. However, people are caught off guard by the deceptive "weakness" aspect.
