ARTIST CREATIVELY TRANSFORMS ROCKS INTO REALISTIC ANIMALS

Akie Nakata, a Japanese artist who goes by Akie, offers a distinct perspective on the world. Many people would just ignore a rock or stone, but Akie can see its potential. She has been using paint to turn common stones into something spectacular for the past nine years. These rocks transform into incredibly lifelike creatures that fit in your palm while being closely monitored by her.

Akie meticulously creates each animal with tiny brushes and acrylic gouache, without the use of a pen. Actually, the moment she sees a rock, the creative process starts.
