Eilish is a bright young woman who makes the most of her position to advance causes important to her. She spoke directly to some of the wealthiest people on earth at a recent awards event, gently pointing out that they weren't doing enough to help those in need.
Eilish won the Music Innovator Award at the WSJ Magazine's Innovator Awards, held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Mark Zuckerberg and his spouse, Priscilla Chan (who was honoured with the Philanthropy in Science Innovator Award), Hailey Bieber, Karlie Kloss, Spike Lee, George Lucas, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, and Questlove were among the attendees. Eilish said in her acceptance speech. “We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark, and people need empathy and help more than, kind of, ever, especially in our country/ I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it. Love you all, but there are a few people in here who have a lot more money than me. If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”

Eilish, who is known for setting an example, had lately given a substantial donation herself. The announcement was made by Stephen Colbert, who presented the performer to the audience. In order to help organisations, initiatives, and voices committed to food equity, climate justice, lowering carbon pollution, and addressing the climate crisis, Billy Eilish will donate the revenues from her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour. Ladies and gentlemen, that will be a $11.5 million gift. That's fantastic. "Thank you, Billie, on behalf of all people," he said.

The singer is now in the middle of her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour's North American leg. She worked with REVERB on this project to support projects that lessen the environmental impact of concerts and touring. These include giving away free water refills, promoting public transportation use, and selling merchandise made entirely of recycled cotton.
