ARCHITECT INCORPORATES MASSIVE SKATEBOARD RAMP INTO GORGEOUS HOME DESIGN
What unique features would you like to see in your ideal home if you could create it? Perhaps a bowling alley or a swimming pool? In Rosaria, Argentina, architect Macu Bulgubure has realised the ambition of one client. By adding a sizable ramp to the rear of the house, Bulgubure integrated the client's passion for skating into the design.
One of the house's distinguishing features is the ramp. In addition to serving as a ramp, it also serves as a deck and reduces the amount of summer heat that enters the interior rooms. The ramp's striking curvature visually connects the homeowner while they are inside. The same colour scheme used throughout the project emphasises the relationship between the interior and exterior. The ramp's metal covering blends well with the inside wood's warmth. The black metal framework that surrounds the entire house is an addition to this colour scheme.
A fascinating modern house that is elevated to avoid floods is visible as we move away from the distinguishing ramp feature. The home's impact and surroundings are carefully considered by the architect, who supports daily operations with rain collection systems and solar panels. These are just a few of the elements that contribute to this modern house being both stylish and environmentally friendly.
