CHILDREN WHO DISAPPEARED WITH THEIR DAD YEARS AGO RECENTLY SPOTTED BY HUNTERS
According to reports, in 2021, Tom Phillips and his wife Cat got into a fight in their family home, which caused Tom to abruptly vanish with their 3 children. Since then, Cat has looked for her kids, but until recently, she had little luck finding Ember, who is 8 years old, Maverick, who is 9 years old, and Jayda, who is 11 years old.
Nearly three years after the three missing minors vanished, some young hunters in Marokopa, New Zealand, think they may have found them. In the video, their father Tom was also visible; he was seen strolling through the woods with his three kids following closely behind.
The children's anxious mother has since spoken out and urged their father to turn himself into the police after police confirmed that the video was authentic. As soon as Cat saw the video, she said, "I just broke down."
“ Even though I can't see their faces, they're all there, walking, and they can carry their bags."
She also stated that her children "shouldn't have to be worrying about where they're going to sleep that night or whether they're going to be warm" in an interview with The New Zealand Herald. One of the 16-year-olds who took the vital video has now come forward to talk about his grandson's conversation with the missing kids.
The hunters reportedly asked who else knew they were there, to which one of the children responded, "Only you". John McOviney continued, "And then they just kept walking." "They were wearing large packs and were all packed up."
He continued, "I think the father kind of kept them moving."
The teenagers didn't pursue the incident further because, it appears, Tom was armed when they saw the Phillips family wandering around.
Their mother has thanked the hunter for sharing the footage of her missing kids. Cat said, "I can't express how grateful I am to him enough because so many people see things out there but lack the courage to speak up."
The family was spotted after police increased their search efforts in June. They even offered a reward of $80,000 (US$48,800) to anyone who could assist them in safely returning Ember, Maverick, and Jayda home.
