JENNIFER ANISTON ADDRESSES RUMOUR OF AFFAIR WITH OBAMA HEAD ON

Being the target of slanderous rumours and rumours on a regular basis is a part and parcel of being a celebrity, whether they like it or not. Thoughts regarding the personal lives of some of our favourite celebrities are frequently entertained, particularly regarding potential bed partners, the pairing of Jennifer Aniston and Barack Obama was particularly absurd.

With regard to the unlikely couple, the US magazine In Touch Weekly made some pretty bold claims on its front cover. It claimed that a source had told them they were "obsessed with each other." In addition, the August 5th issue of the publication claimed that rumours of supposed romantic chemistry between the former President and the Friends star were rife in "power circles in Washington and Hollywood."

The front cover featured the subheading, "Michelle betrayed as Aniston steals her husband's attention," which served to really stir things up even more. The good news is that Aniston has now clarified her alleged covert relationship with Obama, so we can finally call out the lynch mob that incorrectly assumed she was some sort of husband snatcher off.

In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 55-year-old talked about the rumours that have been circulating about her. "The truth about Jen and Barack" was the headline on a copy of In Touch Weekly that the talk show host gave to Aniston. She started giggling right away and blushing as she shared her opinions about the article.

That's kind of like all those calls you get from your publicist and you're like, 'Oh no, what's it going to be?'" she said to Kimmel. Or the email claiming that a cheap tabloid would fabricate a story, and that's it.

"I wasn't upset about it!"

In an attempt to put an end to the rumours, the comedian then questioned the We're The Millers star, asking her to define "the truth" about her and Obama. He said, "So, the truth about Jen and Barack is that there is no truth?"

"No, that is absolutely untrue," Aniston replied. "That is not accurate."

The Los Angeles-born actress then revealed she had only met the politician, 63, once and actually knows his wife Michelle 'more than him'.

"Is there a truth about you and Michelle that we should know?" joked Kimmel at that point.

Once more, though, Aniston insisted there were no secrets to reveal.

She then played a quick game with the talk show host where she dispelled some other rumours, as well as confirming that the tabloids had got it right on some rare occasions with some strange stories about her.

Before acknowledging that rumours that she "has a ziplock bag filled with her dead therapist's ashes" were "a little true," Aniston acknowledged that she had received a salmon sperm facial and that she does travel overseas with jars of olives.

However, Aniston insisted claims that she installed a $4,000 anti-ageing water filter in her home for her dogs was 'absolutely' false.
