WIFE OF GHOST ADVENTURES HOST ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED MURDER FOR HIRE PLOT
Police have confirmed they have made an arrest in a murder plot against Ghost Adventures host Aaron Goodwin. There are usually a few shocks for the hosts in Ghost Adventures shows, but it's doubtful that Goodwin anticipated this one. According to police, Victoria Goodwin, Goodwin's wife, was taken into custody on suspicion of planning to hire a hitman to kill him. According to booking paperwork in Clark County, Nevada, Victoria was reportedly arrested last week and is currently facing two charges: solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
In October of last year, she allegedly sought out the hitman and had been in communication with him in the hopes that he would carry out the crime. Her first court appearance was scheduled for March 11. According to the arrest report, Victoria was messaging a prisoner in Florida about ending her marriage to Goodwin.
During their conversations, she allegedly asked, 'Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce. While her husband was filming Ghost Adventurers in California, authorities claim that Victoria gave them information about his whereabouts, as well as the times and locations of the filming. While Goodwin was shooting with ghost investigator Zak Bagans on location, Victoria allegedly attempted to have him killed. Additionally, according to police, the texts mention paying $2,500 up front for the reality TV star's death. Authorities also claimed that Victoria had saved over $11,000 to pay the suspected hitman and that the inmate had discussed the scheme with another person.
According to authorities, he texted someone, claiming, "He's sleeping in the hotel room right now... I must know what's happening. Could you please provide me with an update? Was it completed? Fortunately, Goodwin is still alive, and the conspiracy was uncovered when prison officials found the inmate's illegal phone. However, Victoria has denied having any desire to murder her husband, claiming that she was only daydreaming or having fantasies about leaving her marriage.
In August 2022, the couple tied the knot at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. Goodwin told TMZ that he had thought he was in a good marriage and that the revelation caught him off guard. According to the site, Victoria is still being held by the police on a $100,000 bail.
