BAYERN MUNICH CLAIMS VICTORY ON HEIDENHEIM ENDING THE YEAR STRONG
In the final Bundesliga game of 2025, Bayern Munich defeated Heidenheim 4-0.
Bayern finished the season nine points ahead of second-place Borussia Dortmund thanks to two goals from Josip Stanisic and Michael Olise in the first half.
Olise also scored inside the area, and Stanisic headed in from close range. In the 86th minute, Luis Diaz headed in Stanisic's cross to extend Bayern's lead, and in second-half stoppage time, Harry Kane finished the win by shooting into the bottom corner.
Goalie Manuel Neuer was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, thus England striker Kane led the team.
For the first time in the top division, Vincent Kompany's team has now led the Bundesliga rankings for a whole calendar year. At this point in the season, Bayern's nine-point lead at the top is the second-largest margin ever.
Following the holiday break, the league will resume on Friday, January 9 at 19:30 GMT when Eintracht Frankfurt takes on Dortmund.
