DAVID SCHWIMMER WANTED BY BLACKPOOL POLICE FOR STEALING BEER

Okay, okaaay, I may have click baited you – it's really David Schwimmer's lookalike that is wanted by the Blackpool police for stealing a crate of beer.

The police posted a photo on Facebook to appeal to the users to identify the thief, but social media users were quick to point out the obvious, over 100 000 Facebook users took to the comment section to make F.R.I.E.N.D.S inspired jokes.

The post has also received almost 66 000 shares and some of the comments read "I was going to read the report for this but it was 18 pages... FRONT AND BACK! It rambled on for so long that I fell asleep." If you know the hit sitcom you will understand the reference.

Referencing the shows famous theme song, one user wrote: "I don't think it's been this guy's day, his week, his month or even his year."

One user shares their 'surprise' at how long it's taking the police to find the suspect saying "He is known to have studied karate and we believe he has mastered the art of Unagi, the state of total awareness."

Blackpool confirmed David Schwimmer was not the suspect and issued a statement saying "We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date."
