DERMATOLOGISTS REVEAL THE ONE PLACE PEOPLE FORGET TO PUT SUNSCREEN
Many people will want to go outside and enjoy all of their favourite summertime activities as the weather warms. All of these activities involve being in the sun, whether they are swimming or going to the beach, eating your favourite icy treat, or just taking advantage of the nice weather. Applying sunscreen before being outside in the heat will protect you from several skin conditions, but there might be one important area where you forget to do so.
Park elaborated and explained, “Although the most common type of skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma, will likely not kill you, you have to cut it out. Not just it, but the skin surrounding it to make sure that it doesn't come back. Now I don't know anyone who wants to get a large piece of skin cut out of them, but personally I think certain areas would be way worse than others, and one of those places… is the ears.”
The most important lesson is to make sure you protect the outer part of your ears with sunscreen this summer. Experts advise reapplying sunscreen every two hours when you're outside in the heat, especially if you're swimming or participating in sports.
