Gogarty's illustrations encapsulate a particular breed of dog. She frequently exaggerates traits like long snouts, dripping tongues, and severe underbites in her cartoonish style. Her use of text is like the icing on the cake; it gives the dogs a charming, neurotic, or hilariously dense appearance, depending on how you look at it. You'll laugh no matter what. She exaggerates these aspects as well, like her sketching, but her evaluations of each puppy are accurate.
