With technology evolving more and more interesting apps are introduced to the world making life a bit easier. But have you ever though about what underneath and what you’ll find if you dug your way through the world?
Have you ever imagined what country you’d encounter if you dug a straight line to the exact opposite side of the world. Where would you end up or what would you see? There is however a way to get the answers you have been looking for.
The new Antipodes Map site showsyou where you’d end up if you started digging just by entering where you are going to start.
The fascinating map is an interactive look at this thought experiment. To use it, simply input the address or city that you’d want to start your journey from. The Google-powered map will then show you where you would end up.
If you are in North America or most of the part in Europe, you will most probably end up in the middle of the ocean. However that is not uncommon seeing that the map’s creators added that a “majority of locations on land do not have land-based antipodes.”
