Following the sad news that Liza and her long time YouTube boyfriend and partner in crime have broken up due to their hectic schedules causing them to drift apart. Well, on the brighter side her efforts have definitely paid off and she has officially announced the release of her own YouTube Red comedy series.
Liza on demand is a single camera comedy that follows the messy misadventures of Liza, a young woman in Los Angeles who is trying to make a career out of juggling various gig economy jobs to try and figure out what she wants to do with her life. Her quirky, silly humour is prevalent in the upcoming feature and it is quite clear that her old antics will never die. Although things don’t always work out the way she had planned, we are sure that fans will get a good laugh out of it!
Koshy also is executive producing the show, with the help of writers Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (who produced “Josie & The Pussycats” and “Mary + Jane”). Courtney Carter will serve as an additional executive producer and Sam Childs will be the producer. “Liza on Demand” will be produced by a comedy studio called Above Average, founded by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video.
The eight episode, half-hour “Liza on Demand” will premiere on YouTube Red, Google’s $10-per-month subscription service, in 2018
