LOYAL GOLDEN RETRIEVER STANDS UP FOR HIS LITTLE BEST FRIEND
This Golden Retriever, named Harry, went viral after a video was shared of him protecting his best friend, You You, against her mother’s harsh words.
The little two-year-old girl’s mother claimed that the five-year-old Golden Retriever was protecting her daughter as she was scolding her.
The loyal Retriever was named after the famous J.K. Rowling's fictional character, Harry Potter. The daughter has grown up with Harry and now has a deep bond.
After mom just purchased a tub of facial cream for her daughter, she left it in the living room and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. However, after she returned to the living room she found her daughter, You You, busy playing with the tub of moisturizer after tearing up the product packaging.
"I was honestly really upset. I'd just bought the cream and half of it was already gone. My baby started crying because I was shouting at her quite aggressively," the 32-year-old mother claimed.
The video which soon went viral, shows Harry shielding the crying girl by placing his paws around her. It also appears that Harry snarls back at the parent, seemingly telling her to back off. The furry guardian stood in front of the crying toddler while baring his teeth at the mother to stop.
Harry even became more defensive when he was told by the mother to move out of the way. "You, get up. Stop protecting [her]," the mother is heard saying.
He tried to comfort You You by wrapping his leg around her and rested his head on her shoulder.
The adorable reaction of the loyal friend was captured by the girl's mother, Ms Sun in China. She added that she decided to record the incident because she found it "funny and infuriating" at the same time.
However, the mother claimed that her heart melted as well as her anger when she saw Harry defending her daughter.
"I was still upset but I thought it was also quite funny. It was very heart-warming. Dogs would find ways to express their love if you treat them properly."
However, this is not the first time when this loyal protector has stepped in to protect his friend. "Whenever we speak to You You in a harsh tone, he would come over and try to shield her with his paws," the mother added.
Although some of the viewers couldn’t believe the adorable sighting and claimed it was staged, Ms Sun refuted such claims, and insisted that it showed the natural reactions of Harry and her daughter.
