I'm sure we all think our own dog is the most beautiful dog there has ever been, but experts worked out which is technically the most beautiful of them all (according to science). Breeds like the Golden Retriever and Poodle are perhaps the first that come to mind when you think of very attractive dogs, yet these two well-liked varieties didn't even reach the top 10. Although everyone has their definition of beauty, there is a mathematical ideal known as the "golden ratio" that employs predetermined metrics to assess how aesthetically pleasant something is.

For instance, Zendaya, Jodie Comer, Bella Hadid, and Ariana Grande were listed as some of the world's most attractive women utilizing the golden ratio. Using the notorious ratio, well-known males like Paul Mescal, Lucien Laviscount, star of Emily in Paris, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were dubbed the most gorgeous. Additionally, the same ratio has been applied to dog breeds. In general, the more closely a dog breed's proportions resemble the golden ratio, the more statistically beautiful the breed must be.

The top ten most beautiful breeds and their percentage on the golden ratio, as per York Press, goes as follows:

10) Pembroke Welsh Corgi - 83.9 percent

9) Norfolk Terrier - 84.3 percent

8) Italian Greyhound - 84.9 percent

7) Tolling Retriever - 85.0 percent

6) Weimaraner - 85.6 percent

5) Welsh Terrier - 85.9 percent

4) Rhodesian Ridgeback - 86.0 percent

3) Border Collie - 86.7 percent

2) West Highland White Terrier - 87.5 percent

1) Cairn Terrier - 88.7 percent

 Meanwhile, some of the least beautiful breeds included the Shit Tzu, Bulldog, and Rottweiler.
