SCARLETT JOHANSSON HAS ONE RULE FOR FAN PHOTOS THAT OFFENDS MANY THE STAR REVEALED
When it comes to asking her for pictures, Scarlett Johansson has one rule that her fans should follow. If you happen to run into an A-list star like Johansson, you'll probably want to take a photo with them to remember the occasion. However, there are occasions and locations for these kinds of pictures; for example, if you see your favourite movie character in the restroom, you might want to wait before approaching them. Johansson also has a similar restriction about taking selfies with her admirers, which offends some of them.
"The issue about being a public figure is that the idea of being recognizable and celebrated feels fantastic, but then you can never cram it back in the bottle," the Marriage Story star said in an interview with InStyle. "The reality of it is, there’s a massive loss to that, you know?"
In light of this, Johnasson only engages with her fans when she's at an event (as opposed to when she's shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond on a Saturday afternoon) and isn't always eager to pose for pictures with them. "It actually offends a lot of people," Johansson said while discussing her one rule. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate that people are delighted to see me or are admirers. However, I always tell folks that I'm not working. [That implies] I don't want to be recognized as being with you at this time and location. I'm working on my own project." Completely reasonable, in my opinion.
The interview with the Marvel actress follows her and her spouse, Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost, becoming viral in December. Jost and Michael Che co-host Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update," and the comedy team frequently joke around with each other. Additionally, Johansson was the target of one of the jokes. She was present to respond to the offensive remark, and her amusing response was captured on tape. At the moment, Jost declared, "I want to dedicate this next joke to my boo, Scarlett Johansson." Going on to poke fun at their sex life after Johansson welcomed their son, Cosmo, in 2021, Jost continued: "Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu, but I ain’t tripping. I be eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid."
The camera then panned to Johansson who was seen mouthing 'oh my god' at the very risqué joke.
