NEW ON NETFLIX THIS MONTH | FEBRUARY
Out of the many new and exciting films, series and docuseries coming out this month, Vulture has pointed out the two most noteworthy movies to watch.
1) The Russian Doll
A dark riff on Groundhog Day, Russian Doll stars co-creator and Orange Is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne as Nadia, a woman who can’t seem to survive her own birthday party — because she keeps dying, and reliving it all over again. Funny, macabre, and strange, Russian Doll looks like it’s going to continue. (Trailer Below)
2) The Umbrella Academy
An adaptation of the award-winning comic by former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and artist Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy is The Royal Tenenbaums with superheroes, a story about an eccentric, wealthy man who takes in six superpowered children and raises them to save the world. Only, 17 years later, he’s died, and his now-adult wards each have a lifetime worth of dysfunction, and an apocalypse to avert. Coming February 15th.
