PLACES ON EARTH THAT NO HUMAN HAS EVER SET FOOT ON

Visiting a place called North Sentinel Island, located in the Bay of Bengal, is actually illegal due to the stone age people, known as the Sentinelese, who inhabit the island

The Sentinelese are one of the worlds last uncontacted tribes ever, and this is because they reject – sometimes violently – any contact with the outside world, as a result, no one knows their language or customs. While the island is technically under Indian jurisdiction, the government leaves the island alone in respect of the Sentinelese apparent desire to be left alone by outsiders.

The most recent contact anyone tried to make was on November 16th 2018 by Mr John Allen Chau, however, was killed in a hail of poisoned arrows fired by the Sentinelese tribe following a series of uninvited visits to the island.

The 26-year-old adventurer and missionary was said to be “obsessed” with the Sentinelese since high school. He attended a “missionary boot camp” organised by All Nations in preparation for his trip to the isolated stone age tribe in an effort to convert them to Christianity – which is, in fact, illegal as any outsider is banned from going within five km of the island.

One of the reasons why it's illegal to visit the island is because the tribe has never been exposed to any of the diseases we have today, even the flu could destroy the entire tribe.

The fishermen who took Mr Chau to the island reported having witnessed tribespeople fatally shoot Mr Chau with bows and arrows before dragging his body along the beach and burying him in the sand.
