TASTY WITH ALIX TREAGER: GIANT RAINDROP CAKE (BEHIND THE SCENES)

Some people are excellent at making cakes but even the pro's need practice sometimes, today, Alix Treager from the YouTube channel, Tasty, shows us behind the scenes of making a giant raindrop cake.

A raindrop cake is also known as 'Mizu Shingen mochi' which is a Japanese gelatin-like cake made with only three ingredients; Agar Agar powder which is a vegan seaweed-based thickener, sugar, and water. A molasses-like sugar syrup and roasted soybean flour is then poured on top. Some experts go as far as adding flowers to the mixture before it sets to give the illusion of a flower trapped in a water droplet.

Tasty is a very well known food channel on Youtube and we recently discovered one of Tasty's producers trying to create a giant version of the raindrop cake, and the behind the scenes is really just hilarious.
