Surpassing the American TV series, Gunsmoke, as longest-running primetime scripted series in TV history, The Simpsons will take the lead as the longest-running TV series by 9 years in 2018, and as Bart Simpson would say, "There's only one thing to do at a moment like this: Strut!"
The Simpsons returns for season 30 on the 30th of September 2018 for yet another season as America's most dysfunctional working-class family – and we just can't wait. 'Here, here' to more bits of political and social satire, highly entertaining opening sequences, infamously accurate predictions of the future with a family that hasn't aged for 30 years.
Speaking of opening sequences, how could we forget one of the best parts of the hit television series? 'The Simpsons Couch Gag', that changes almost every episode, only the very first episode, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire didn't feature a couch gag at all. However from the second episode The Simpsons Couch Gag has seen extra long intros, intros in different landscapes and lets not forget the collaborations with other comic TV characters such as The Flinstones, Itchy & Scratchy, Futurama and more.
