Sceptics have a reason to doubt any photo or video that points towards the supernatural or paranormal. For this reason, there are experts out there who can examine photos and determine whether they have been altered. In quite a few cases, the photos are proven to be fake, and the sceptics win.

However, there are also some photos or videos that point towards the paranormal – and there is no proof or evidence that there have been alterations to the photo. In fact, those same experts who helped point out the fakes in some pretty creepy photos have also been able to determine photos that have not been altered. 

Either way, whether the photo is fake, just an illusion or unexplained, these photos will still send chills down your spine!
