Chance The Rapper and former model/long-time girlfriend, Kirsten Corley, are officially engaged! He popped the question on the 4th of July at a family gathering, getting down on one knee in his family's backyard and asking Corley if she "would make him a man and be his wife". He tweeted on Wednesday that she had accepted his proposal. Their two-year-old daughter was filmed in the moment, running up to her parents during the proposal.
Chance The Rapper (or Chancelor Bennett, as he’s known outside of the music industry) and Corley started dating in 2013 but kept their relationship pretty private, with the couple only posting a few pictures together on social media. Chance mentioned Corley in an appreciative post on his 31st birthday that read: "You are my oldest and best friend. You are responsible for every one of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God."
However, they separated shortly after daughter, Kensli, was born in September 2015, Corey filed to be the sole guardian of Kensli and that Chance would be paying child support in 2016. The couple made up later that year and decided to work out a co-parenting schedule that best benefitted their daughter and decided to move back in together in January of 2017. Corley’s attorney told the Chicago Tribune that month, “All is well, and the motion has been withdrawn.” In late January, Chance posted a sweet family photo of himself carrying Kensli which Corley captioned, “No matter what we are, we’re always family.”
Corley modelled in a 2014 editorial shoot, wearing T by Alexander Wang. She looks gorgeous wearing an oversize white tee and boxy maroon bomber jacket from the Autumn/Winter collection.
It seems like their relationship is stronger than ever and the two lovebirds are happy!
