VIDEO: HEATHER LOCKLEAR RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AFTER DRUG OVERDOSE
Spin City star, Heather Locklear has been rushed to hospital after a suspected overdose. Ambulances arrived at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, and rushed her to a nearby medical facility, with emergency responders requesting back-up from the police, after receiving an emergency call reporting that the 56-year-old star had overdosed.
Luckily the emergency responders rushed to her aid in time and she is now in a stable condition after the overdose. Locklear is said to have a recurring problem with drug misuse and was planning to book herself into a rehab facility to get the necessary help.
Her drug misuse has landed her in trouble after she was jailed for two misdemeanour counts of battery on emergency personnel, two months after she argued not guilty of battery on a police officer in a separate incident. A call came into the police station at 11 pm, reporting a domestic disturbance involving Locklear and another party. When the police attended the scene, Locklear kicked one of the deputies in the leg while they were surveying the situation.
The policemen on the scene reported that she was "extremely intoxicated and very uncooperative" and was therefore taken to jail in handcuffs. While one of the medics were trying to conduct a medical assessment before she was taken to jail, Locklear kicked him in the chest. After being evaluated at a nearby hospital, Locklear was transported to jail and booked. She was later released after posting $20,000 bail.
Locklear was hospitalised again at the beginning of June after she was threatening to shoot herself causing a concerned family member to contact emergency services. Before threatening to take her own life, Locklear was arrested for assaulting her partner, Chris Heisser at her Thousand Oaks home in February. She was also arrested on four counts of misdemeanour battery on a police officer and one charge of resisting or obstructing a police officer after she was said to have lashed out at the cops who were called to attend the incident.
A source close to Locklear reported that her family is hoping to keep to her in a hospital for at least 14 days with a 5250 hold saying that, "She needs enough time to detox and undergo an evaluation."
