VIDEO: JOHN CENA HAS TO GET PERMISSION FROM HIS FIANCéE TO POSE NUDE IN TV SHOWS
Amidst the rumours of a breakup, John Cena and Nikki Bella have decided to work through their issues and go forward with the wedding. Why would such a seemingly happy and perfect couple break up? After spending more time in front of the camera, Cena failed to disclose the copious nude scenes in the Trainwreck film with Amy Schumer. The couple can be seen arguing about the ordeal on the trailer of the 3rd season of Nikki’s reality tv show, Total Bellas. To be fair, he was naked for most of his scenes in the movie and hid the fact from his fiancée until after he had agreed to the movie.
In an interview on the Ellen Show, he admitted: "I was just like, 'Ah, it'll be fine,'" John explained to Ellen. "I was wrong. So that was a problem. And that ended up being a tough discussion."
Cena was determined to learn from their past mistakes and move forward, saying: "And now we review all the material that is thrown in my direction, and we come to the conclusion that it will be okay." After reviewing scenes of his new movie Blockers (yes, the one where he downs a beer through his butt) she gave her blessing. Cena isn’t holding any grudges and even reminisced about the proposal to Nikki at Wrestle Mania 33 in front of cameras and 75 000 fans saying: “Sometimes they control the program,” he said.“So I didn’t want 75,000 people to stand up and go, ‘No, no, no!’ Because, as performers, we often get caught up in the moment and I didn’t want her to look around and [see that].
“I was super nervous, but I was definitely ready to ask her and that’s a big change of opinion for me. It took me a long time to get to that point, five years.”
They are now planning their wedding as a happy couple with Cena jokingly reporting: “We are both planning that and by that I mean I say ‘OK’ to things she asks.”
