The Good Place is a satirical series based on the concept of heaven, hell, and your actions accumulating over your lifetime to dictate where you will end up. Kristen Bell, being one of the main characters, perfectly portrays the way most of us think but probably have enough of a filter to keep it to ourselves.

Janet is basically an advanced form of "Siri" that is in the form of a woman who knows the answer to anything and can also get you any object you desire from ice cream to a flamethrower. Basically, in heaven (the good place) everyone shares a virtual assistant. She knows everything about everybody but she has absolutely no emotional capability (which makes her even funnier). Janet is the epitome of what technology giants want to create in the future. She will do exactly as she's told but sometimes takes it a bit too literally and when she reboots, things tend to go a bit haywire, to say the least but she gets smarter with every reboot and even develops an understanding of emotion.

The introduction of emotion, however, does pose some even more intricate ethical issues which poor Janet finds herself in. I mean.... if its a robot does it really count as murder....?
