VIDEO: NOW MEN GET TO UNLOAD THE GUN WITH A TASTE OF WOMAN MEDICINE
It's 2018 and there has finally been more than just talk about male contraception. It has been the ladies' responsibility despite the side effects, inconvenience and risk associated with it. The pill is DMAU, its chemical name dimethandrolone undecanoate. Similarly to women's contraceptives, it’s made up of a combination of hormones, a progestin and androgen (like testosterone). Alongside the pill, scientists are developing contraceptive gels and injections for men.
Although the invention of the male contraceptive has been adjusted and changed since 2016, participants in a study alerted the medical company to major side effects like depression and mood swings, acne, libido changes, and more. These side effects and differences in the ways men's bodies function means that a little more work will need to go into the pill but, if women have been doing it for this long, men need to catch up?
A little bloat doesn't hurt anybody! Could it also revolutionise the chocolate and wine industry? Bring it on!
