VIDEO: PARALYSED MAN WALKS DOWN THE AISLE WITH HIS WIFE AFTER TRAGIC ACCIDENT

It's time for a story that might just restore your faith in humanity (or at least make you a little bit less cynical) and hopefully put a little warm and fuzzy feeling in your heart. Remember that incredible video of the paralysed man walking on stage at his graduation with the help of his girlfriend? WELL... it gets better... his girlfriend is now helping him to walk down to aisle to marry her! We are pretty sure that a story like this deserves a soppy movie starring Zac Efron or Ryan Gosling, or at least a devastatingly dramatic romance novel!

Every great romantic story starts with a juicy or sad background story. In this case, our romantic hero, Chris Norton, was injured playing football – he was tackled and his neck hyperextended. He said that he felt a sharp pain and then his whole body went numb. He was airlifted to hospital where he was told that he had fractured his C3-C4 vertebrae and had a three percent chance of ever moving anything below his neck ever again.

Fortunately, Norton had other plans and ended up WALKING on stage to accept his college graduation certificate. They say the people you keep close to you define your success and this could not be a more apt example as his girlfriend, Emily Summers, (now Emily Norton... yes, you know what's coming...) who helped him stumble across the stage now helped him down the aisle.

But the night before the momentous walk across the graduation stage, Norton had made up his mind that Emily would be his wife, so we fast-forward to the moment where Emily leans down, wraps her arms around her husband and, using all of her strength, picks him up out of his wheelchair. Together, the newly-weds slowly make their way up the aisle – a goal they had been working towards for years.

The married couple wants to continue to “give people hope and inspiration that they can overcome anything they’re going through,” Norton says. He adds: “There have been a lot of moments where we’ve struggled. But anything is possible if we don’t give up. We want to be an example that life can be remarkable. I’m so blessed and happy with where I am.”
