VIDEO: THE UNLIKELIEST FRIENDSHIP EVER! FIONA AND HER BUMBLEBEE
We all love those adorable, unlikely animal friends because, let's be honest, what could be cuter than an oversized dog and a tiny kitten being best friends, or how about a dog and a tiger?
Well, this is probably one of the most unusual friends this woman will ever make and it comes in a yellow and black striped outfit. Fiona Presly lives in Inverness, a picturesque town in the Scottish Highlands. She works there as a library assistant and tends to her lovely garden in her free time. Fiona found a queen bumblebee in her garden that had lost its wings, which meant that she probably wouldn't survive very long with the ability to get food or water, so Fiona decided to take her in and feed her.
It turns out the bumblebee suffered from a virus that causes issues with wing development but still managed to outlive any other bee with Fiona's incredible kindness.
She built a tiny bee house, placed plants nearby and covered it all with mesh to protect the bee from becoming another creatures lunch. Fiona claimed the bee came to recognise her, coming out of her house to greet her and crawl into her hand.
Fiona brought her inside during rainy weather and, although the bee did eventually cross the rainbow bridge, it goes to show that a little kindness goes a long way.
