Engineers are a special kind of intelligent. If you present a problem to them, they will give you a solution, no matter how unconventional. They will be the person who will claim "I got this" in any situation. However, it doesn't mean its always the best solution – but at least it gets the job done!

Run out of hair ties? Check the toolbox for some cable ties. Trust us, it will last the whole day, possibly the whole week, but at least it saves you from having to do your hair in the morning. We just feel sorry for anyone who lives with an engineer because there is no doubt that there will be multiple ridiculous inventions found all over the house. Duct tape is an engineer's best friend but it doesn't mean it should be used in all situations eg: anytime anything is broken on a plane... ever!
