When TikTok user Kiagem noticed a tiny jumping spider stuck in her kitchen sink, she immediately took action which involved leaving several notes in the sink for her partner. One might think that these notes would probably say something like “Please get rid of this scary spider,”, however Kiagem’s notes for her partner were much more different.
After she tried rescuing the spider from the the sink herself with no luck, Kiagem had other activities that needed her attention and had to abandon the cause for a bit. However she did not leave the spider completely defenceless, as she made sure to leave very clear instructions for her partner on how to handle the situation.
“Don’t you dare kill this spider,” the note said. “Him is scared and won’t let me help him out, I’m going to try again tomorrow.” This first note was taped to the faucet so that it can be in very plain sight and so that her partner will not have any doubts about what to do.
Kiagem left a second note which she taped to the edge of the sink and then extended down into the sink, acting as a bridge.
“This is the spider’s bridge to get out. Don’t move it. If there’s no spider … ignore this.” The little spider did however seem to enjoy the company as he darted around near the note, enjoying his time in the sink.
When it comes to spiders, everyone has a different opinion. Most who saw the video of the notes posted on TikTok was very entertained, and some even commented what they would have done. Some people even commented that they were ashamed to admit they would not have done the same thing, while other were very much on the ‘save the spider’ boat. One person commented that the spider was probably wishing he knew how to read in that situation.
In the end Kiagem’s effort to save the spider worked and her partner made sure to protect the spider. After some time the spider eventually used his bridge to climb out of the sink and went on his way. The moral of the story? Every thing no matter how small or big is always worth saving.
