BACK TO THE FUTURE FILMING LOCATIONS | THEN & NOW
Take a look at how the Back To The Future filming locations have changed from 1985 to now.
Robert Zemeckis' infamous Sci-Fi trilogy Back To The Future still fascinates people today with its brilliant storyline, imagination and special effects. Travelling back and forth in time was the biggest filming challenge for the movie crew as, sometimes, they had to film in the same location but replicate the scenes to give the illusion that they are around 25 years apart!
Some sets were completely built from scratch and are still used in some movies today. Other scenes were shot in real residential and public places which are still in use today but, obviously, as you'd expect, have changed with the ravages of time.
There are some scenes from the movie that you can go and visit today and still recognise in California, such as the scene that was shot at the Twin Pine mall as well as Marty McFly's high school. To your surprise, most of the fine details are still there today!
