EMILY BLUNT AS MARY POPPINS IN 'MARY POPPINS RETURNS'
The Mary Poppins sequel is based on the 1964 Mary Poppins book series by P. L. Travers.
The new film, Mary Poppins Returns, stars Emily Blunt as the title character, who appears 30 years later when the children she looked after 30 years ago are now all grown up.
Michael Banks is living with his three children (Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh, and Joel Dawson) and housekeeper Ellen (Julie Walters), in the house on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael has a personal loss, Mary Poppins comes back into the lives of the Banks family. She is joined by a street lamplighter named Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda), and an eccentric cousin named Topsy (Meryl Streep).
The film is scheduled to be released on December 19, 2018.
