MOST EXPENSIVE THINGS OWNED BY JEFF BEZOS
This year has been a strange year. For many, it has been a crap year, but for the world’s richest man it was a brilliant year. Ironic, isn’t it?
How did Jeff Bezos manage to get even richer when many countries were struggling to keep their economies going? Thanks to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, online shopping reached new popularity heights, and Jeff’s Amazon is right up there in the USA and Europe.
When you’re the world’s richest man, you’re bound to own some expensive things.
Top Trending compiled a list of the top 10 most expensive things owned by Jeff Bezos, and here are our favourites.
Jeff doesn’t just own one of the largest houses in Washington DC, he owns THE largest house in Washington DC.
He bought the house – an old textile factory – a few years ago for $23,000,000. It’s actually two houses, one called The Wood and the other one called The Pope. They are connected by a walkway and both houses are over 100 years old.
While Bezos is known for being down to earth when it comes to his cars, he’s flying high when it comes to private airplanes. He owns a Gulfstream G-650ER valued at $65 million. Of course, it’s the top of the line version, what else?
When AirBnB started out and needed funding, Bezos spent $112 million to buy shares and then went on to invest $35 million in Uber – as one does.
In 2012 Bezos bought a massive chunk of Seattle, the city where Amazon is based. He bought several buildings at once and, by the end of 2018, Amazon owned as much office space as 40 other Seattle-based offices combined.
