Four days, two ceremonies and a Bollywood dance-off later, the 26-year-old singer & 36-year-old actress are finally married. Is this the most try-hard wedding ever? Let's find out.
The answer is, NO, this is a traditional Hindu ceremony where garlands of flowers are first exchanged. The bride and groom then take their vows around a holy fire while a priest performs the ceremony, which ends with the groom placing vermillion on the bride's forehead.
The bride traditionally wears red, and the wedding took place at the glitzy Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, in the Rajasthan state of northwestern India.
Priyanka took to Instagram to share her wedding pre-wedding rituals saying, "It all began as a fierce song and dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual... and to see what each side had put together.
"And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends."
The two officially tied the knot after getting engaged in August.
