OVER 3000 PEOPLE DRESSED IN DINOSAUR COSTUMES GATHERED IN PUBLIC TO BREAK THE WORLD RECORD
Certain world records quantify remarkable achievements in strength or endurance. Indeed, a 58-year-old woman recently made history by holding a plank for 4.5 hours nonstop. On the other hand, some world records leave people questioning their very existence. The "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Dinosaurs," which took place in Los Angeles in 2019 and included 252 participants, is one instance of this. To shatter this record, however, a group of more than 3,000 dinosaur enthusiasts got together in Drumheller, Alberta, a few days ago.
The only requirement for participants was to dress in a full-body dinosaur costume complete with a dinosaur headpiece and body. It was also forbidden for participants to dress up as ride-on dinosaurs. Naturally, 3,000 people showing up in your town dressed as dinosaurs make for some interesting pictures and social media is flooded with pictures and videos of the amazing spectacle.
Fortunately, Drumheller had prepared a wide range of events for the record-breaking crowd and was ready for them in their downtown. These featured games in addition to live music, and it's amazing to watch a group of people dressed as inflatable dinosaurs dancing to local bands.
Because Drumheller bills itself as the “World Capital of Dinosaurs,” it was the ideal place for this historic occasion. This is mostly because of how many significant fossil discoveries have been made there. The town capitalises on its reputation by housing the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology and the 86-foot-tall fibreglass Tyrannosaurus rex statue, affectionately known as Tyra, which is dubbed the "World's Largest Dinosaur."
A crowd of 3,000 ardent dinosaur enthusiasts just contributed to the addition of another record to the books in a town full of them. Even though Guinness hasn't acknowledged the record in public yet, everyone who took part in it will undoubtedly remember it for a very long time.
