SPRINGBOK COACHES PROVIDES SUPPORT TO VODACOM BULLS THIS SEASON
As part of the organisation's continued cooperation with its member unions, SA Rugby and the Springbok management granted the request.
In keeping with SA Rugby's custom of providing national coaching resources upon request, the Bok coaches will interact with the Bulls on a limited basis, both virtually and in person when necessary. The support, according to Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus, was a reflection of the team's current working relationship with the franchises.
According to Erasmus, "we maintain regular engagement with our franchises, and when they request input in specific areas, we assist within the normal scope of our roles."
"We recognise the value of a solid, cooperative relationship between the Springboks and our provincial teams, as it ultimately benefits South African rugby as a whole."
Rian Oberholzer, CEO of SA Rugby, praised the partnership, saying, "Our approach has always been to work collaboratively with our franchises where possible." We want every team to provide their best effort, and we will keep helping them when they need it.
The assistance is only temporary and does not amount to an official position with the franchise.
