Every pet owner wants to believe that their pets love them as much as they love their pets. You want to believe that your pet would choose you over anyone else, and feels most comfortable when it's on your lap.

The problem is that animals can't communicate whether or not they love us... At least not using words. So we can often misread body language, gestures and tendencies from our animals and end up getting the wrong idea.

With dogs, it's slightly easier to figure out what they're feeling. The wag their tail and sprint towards you to lick your face and jump on your lap. If your dog does that, chances are that they like you quite a bit.

But cats are creatures for themselves, and much more reserved than a dog is. Cats behave in a way that is mysterious to us, and the look in their eyes can come off at both love and hate!
