VIDEO: WHEN PEOPLE SAY, 'I'M NOT HOMOPHOBIC, BUT...'
It's a phrase we always hear and, the minute you see it, you already know what's going to happen.
"I'm not homophobic, but..."
As soon as you see that, you absolutely know for sure that the rest of that sentence is going to be something homophobic. So why even put that beginning part there?
And it applies to pretty much all discrimination...
"I'm not racist, but... [insert racist comment here]"
"I'm not sexist, but... [insert sexist comment here]"
Like, come on people. You are so transparent here and, honestly, we already think you're an idiot.
How can someone post, "I'm not homophobic, but I hate gay people." (True story there)
Honestly, what are you trying to achieve? An award for having a moral compass? Because, sorry to burst your bubble, but your moral compass isn't exactly due North in this case.
