EMINEM IN DETROIT – GOING BACK

Take a look at this incredibly rare footage of Eminem taking us through his home town of Detroit, Michigan.

Marshall Bruce Mathers the Third, professionally known as Slim Shady or Eminem, was born on October 17, 1972. He worked his way up from the bottom, becoming one of the world top rappers and, still today, remains one of the greats.

But life wasn't necessarily so easy on his way to success. The most infamous period of his life was when he was living with his mother in a small suburb in Detroit, Michigan. This was publicised largely due to the movie, 8 Mile, based on his life.

In the clip down below, rare footage from 1999 takes us back to where the legendary rapper grew up in Detroit, Michigan. It tells the viewers of what life was like in Detriot, for him and the neighbourhood. It also shows us exactly where he used to sell his music tapes, where he used to hang out, rap, and skip school in the wintertime, plus, it gives us insight in to the house where he grew up, which clearly brought back some memories for the superstar rapper.
