Here is a list of 15 of the most heavily guarded people in the world because, you know, some people are more important than others.

You would think the people on this list would be prisoners, but that's not how the world works. In fact, some of the people on this list have more bodyguards than prisons have prison guards.

You would also be mistaken if you thought this list would be full of heads of state. Yeah, a few crack the nod, America's Donald Trump, Russia's Vladimir Putin and the Queen of England. The most protected dictator, though, is North Korea's Kim Jong-Un, who, still in his 30s, also happens to be the youngest leader in the world.

The Pope also cracks the nod, as does El Chapo, the notorious drug kingpin, as well as big-tech bosses, like Mark Zuckerburg, Bill Gates, and Jef Bezos (who happens to be worth $124 billion and has a bullet-proof office) but the bulk of this list of 15 is filled with celebrities.

Tom Cruise spends $50,000 a week on security, just for his daughter, and model, Bella Hadid, has a crew of bodyguards following her everywhere too. Then there's Beyoncé and Jay Z who, cumulatively, are worth nearly 1,5 billion dollars. After an incident in 2015 when a fan dragged Beyoncé off stage, Jay Z hired five former intelligence agents to join the five they already had to guard the couple and their three kids. Even their cars are bulletproof.

Floyd Mayweather also has several bodyguards to protect the boxer. Although a potential aggressor would likely become the victim if Mayweather landed a punch. We also have Kim Kardashian West and husband, Kanye West, with their four kids. Worth hundreds of millions of dollars, they got constant protection following them around, 7,5 million dollars a year to be exact.

The most bizarre must surely be three lions, yes, lions, who chased off a group of kidnappers who were going to force a 14-year-old Ethiopian girl into marriage. They then stood guard and protected the girl until she was saved.
