MAN DISCOVERS GENIUS WAY TO CHARGE HIS TESLA BATTERY AFTER BEING STRANDED

After his Tesla's battery fell dangerously low, a man who was "stranded" decided to try charging his car while on the go.

To recharge the battery, Tesla advises plugging your car into your home charger each evening.

What occurs, though, if you forget? On a long trip, what would you do if you ran out of electricity so much that you didn't have enough to get home?

Nobody wants to spend hours on end fiddling with their thumbs at a Tesla Supercharger station. However, one car YouTuber has done the legwork for you by coming up with a creative fix for your charging problems, so don't worry.

“The unthinkable happened. My Tesla ran out of battery when I was far away from home,” said popular YouTube user, Warped. “I went to a public charger and realised I had to wait three hours to get enough charge to get back home.”

The Tesla owner started thinking of ways to quicken the pace because he didn't want to stay for too long.

He calculated that the amount of regenerative braking that would be generated if he drove his car at 70 mph and depressed the accelerator while someone was towing it would be approximately 65,000 watts of charge. He clarified in a 2021 video titled "Tow Charging Tesla at 70MPH for 25 miles" that "that's almost as much as a Tesla Supercharger."

According to the car enthusiast's calculations, "all he needed" was for someone to tow his Tesla for 15 continuous minutes at 70 mph. It "would be the same," he said, as connecting his vehicle to a nearby Supercharger. He admitted, "I've seen one other person do something similar on YouTube." However, it was feeble. At 18 mph, they towed the vehicle around a track. Some people run more quickly than that.

The Warped star tested his theory in the "name of science" in an attempt to save himself some time and important money. Nevertheless, a Mercedes-Benz E Class E55 was brought in place of a tow truck that was specifically used for the experiment. He admitted, "I'm a little worried about the transmission overheating because the E55 will have to overcome a braking force of 65,000 watts of horsepower."

The man went ahead and connected the two cars despite his reluctance.

After ensuring that the connection was secure, the content creator and his associate went onto the freeway and tried to maintain a sustained speed of 70 mph. The driver remarked, "Hey, it looks good, the battery is going up really fast." "That is insane." The YouTuber eventually told his audience that his experiment had been successful, stating that the Tesla had gone from 14 percent battery to 55 in just 25 miles.

Following his admission that he didn't think towing the Tesla would "work that well," the social media celebrity acknowledged that the charging "never let up" on the regen and that the research task had been "awesome."

“It was charging at 65,000 watts the entire time,” he gushed. “If you’re stranded somewhere and you have absolutely no choice…now you know you might not actually be stranded after all.”
